Help us find fosters or forever homes for these new dogs to AZRR!
Because of the economy and the heat of the summer many dogs are being surrendered to the shelters. We are pulling many dogs and saving them from euthanasia. Can you provide a foster home to help us while we find their forever home? | Below are our dogs available for adoption except where noted living with a foster with intent to adopt or those dogs on medical hold. If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs you must first fill out an application and fax it or email it to us. We will then contact you for a home visit. Once you are approved for adoption then one of our dogs can be placed into your home on a Foster With Intent To Adopt basis. Our adoption fees for the dogs are as follows: |

Finn
|
Finn is a Golden Retriever Finn is a golden retriever mix who came to us from the Arizona Humane Society. We are not sure of his age but guess him to be around two. He was picked up as a stray and had an injury to his rear leg which he has healed from. He also had tick fever which he also has recovered from. Finn needs a special family to take him him because he has seizures. He is on medicine to control the seizures but we are still working on the correct dose and trying to find out what works for him. He is a very sweet, loving boy but he also has lots of puppy energy in him. He needs regular exercise to drain this energy so he does not get into trouble. He loves other dogs and likes to chase cats. He adores kids but but we need to be careful of what age because of his seizures. He loves to play and wants to be right by your side. It takes him awhile to warm up to men but if he meets a man who has a dog with him he is fine. Finn is a very special boy and has come along way in the healing process . He is looking for that perfect family that can help him through his medical issues and give him a chance in life. Please consider adopting Finn and giving him a second chance. Murphy

Murphy is a Lab/Golden Retriever Mix. Murphy may be a mix but his heart is made of pure 24 kt. gold. Murphy came into rescue from the Arizona Humane Society where he was turned in by his previous owners because they were not able take care of him any longer. Murphy is a 9 year old, neutered male who has age lumps and bumps on his body (don't we all) but is very active. Murphy is 82 lbs. of love. He gets along great with other dogs , cats , kids and everyone. He can hop up into a car on his own if it means going for a car ride. Murphy loves to play with his foster sister. She loves to tease him and make him run after her to get her toy so they can play tug of war. He loves to go on walks and when he sees his leash he goes bonkers. Once you get him outside, he has to stop at EVERY bush and smell everything! He has adjusted so well to his life with his foster. His foster says "it's like this has always been his home". He is a very easy-going dog who just goes with the flow. He would be a great companion for an older family who like to take walks or with a younger family that has children and is very active. He is a big love and deserves a wonderful, loving family. Are you that family?

| Arizona Retriever Rescue does not guarantee any retriever in our rescue to be 100% purebred. Due to the circumstances upon which the dogs are received into rescue, we are unable to verify the heritage of the retriever unless they are owner turn-ins, and only then, if they have AKC registration papers. Shelter dogs come to us with virtually no history or paperwork and are identified by our volunteers with the help of reference materials, pictures and breed standards. | |
